What is a video introduction?
The video introduction feature gives you the opportunity to stand out from other candidates. In 30 seconds you can communicate your personality to employers quicker and more effectively than just using a CV and cover letter. All you need is access to a webcam and we'll help you through the rest.
Why would I want to apply using a video of myself?
Our research indicates that if you don't see the manager when you hand in your CV for a part-time job, you are very unlikely to be invited in for an interview. A video introduction levels the playing field and allows all applicants to make that crucial first impression on the employer.
Who gets to see my video? Can employers distribute them?
Only registered employers of the jobs you specifically apply for are able to see your video. They must log into our system and view the video directly from our servers. Employers are unable to download and distribute the video and they are removed from our system after a the job posting expires. This ensures your data can only be accessed in the time period relevant to the job you applied for.
Where does the deal information on FatStudent come from?
Part of the deal information has come from us contacting local businesses and enquiring after their cheapest prices, the rest is generated by you!
What do I need to do in order to list my own deals?
All you need to do is register and click on the 'Add New Deal' button- we will screen the information to see it's accurate and the listing will appear on the site shortly afterwards.
What do I do if I find a deal is out-of-date?
You are able to edit the information after which we will verify the information.
